Informed Consent Information

I am Tanya Joosten of the Learning Technology Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. We are conducting a study of how podcasting and rich digital media (digital audio and video) impact teaching and student learning. We would appreciate your participation in this study as it will assist us in making recommendations for improving the teaching of students throughout the UW system.

If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to fill out one online survey and to answer several questions about your experience in using podcasting and rich digital media that will take 15-20 minutes to complete. There are no known risks associated with your being in the study.

The questionnaire you fill out will be treated confidentially. YOUR NAME WILL NOT BE LINKED IN ANYWAY TO YOUR SURVEY RESPONSES. Data from this study may be shared in aggregate form with UW System instructors, staff, and administrators and may be published in professional journals. Only grouped data will be presented or published. As an online participant in this research, there is always the risk of intrusion by outside agents, i.e., hacking, and therefore the possibility of being identified.
